Overgrown, heavily littered area on Mulgrave Road bear junction with Rectory Place Reported anonymously at 09:53, Wed 20 May 2020 This area is situated towards the eastern end of Mulgrave Road near to the junction with Rectory Place. Shrubs, weeds and bushes have been allowed to grow out of control, leaving the area untidy and very smelly. Given it’s uncultivated condition, the area has become an open invitation to fly tippers and general litter droppers alike. If the area were to be cleared, leaving an open space under the trees present, I would happily scatter poppy seeds and encourage the growth of a much more inviting, environmentally friendly open space for all residents to enjoy. This would also invite an abundance of local wildlife to the area. The area has been left in this poor condition for over 5 years, and has been so overgrown in past years that it was even victim to the scene of an unforgivable sexual assault of a young girl. Had the area not been so obscured from view, this atrocious crime may not have taken place in such a built up, residential area.
